Japanese legacy sportswear brand ASICS reunites with LA-based fashion label GALLERY DEPT. to introduce a three-piece pack of the new GEL-K1011. This take on the titular silhouette is reimagined through the aesthetic acumen of the GALLERY DEPT.’s founder, Josué Thomas. The collaboration follows last year’s GT-2160, which ultimately became one of the most coveted sneakers in the secondary market, with some pairs even fetching for over US$1,000.

About the GALLERY DEPT. x ASICS GEL-K1011 Pack

The new model draws inspiration from the ASICS’ pedigree, incorporating elements from quintessential silhouettes like the GEL-NYC, GEL-CUMULUS, and GEL-KAYANO.

As mentioned, the pack comprises three colorways: The first, a monochromatic black and white, employs GALLERY DEPT.’s signature DIY style, with visible brushstrokes embedding a raw, unfinished quality. The second is a classic sports-style silhouette. The third, an earthy “Beef and Broccoli” colorway. GALLERY DEPT. branding takes up real estate on the toe box, heel, and insoles of all three.

Release Details

The GALLERY DEPT. x ASICS GEL-K1011 Pack will be released through an exclusive EQL raffle on the GALLERY DEPT. website on 7 Decemeber. The RRP of the white-on-black colorway is US$325, while the remaining two colorways will retail for US$295.
