Nike Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Rookie of the Year” [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]
An homage to Michael Jordan's attire during his ROTY acceptance speech.
In 1985, a young Michael Jordan pirouetted onto the NBA stage, his talent a supernova igniting the league. His electrifying debut season culminated in the Rookie of the Year Award, a mere prelude to the legend that would unfold.
In 2018, 33 years later, Jordan Brand paid tribute to this nascent brilliance with the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Rookie of the Year”, a paean to his historic first act. Now, in 2025, the torch is passed anew. The colorway makes a triumphant return, adorning the Air Jordan 1 Low silhouette.
About the Nike Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Rookie of the Year”
The shoe itself is a visual sonnet of Sail, Black, Golden Harvest, and Gym Red hues. It evokes the image of Jordan, a young king ascending his throne, his attire mirroring the palette now splashed across the low-top masterpiece.
White leather serves as the canvas upon which Golden Harvest suede overlays are placed. Black Swooshes and laces provide a grounding counterpoint, while the red “Nike Air” tongue label injects a jolt of audacious energy.
