[Update 4 Apr 2025] New images of the FRGMT x UNION x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG SP have come to light, this time courtesy of @linkedsole2 and @xcmade. More importantly, UNION head honcho Chris Gibbs has confirmed that the release of the pair has been delayed to 2026 and may be exclusive to UNION. Nevertheless, stay tuned for more details and images as they arise.

[Update 4 Feb 2025] The fragment design x Union LA x Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG SP collaboration has been confirmed by Hiroshi Fujiwara with the release of new images.

This is the first official look at the shoe, arriving amidst the marketing campaign for the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Bred”. More details and images are expected soon, so stay tuned!

The archetypal Nike Air Jordan 1 will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2025. And in lieu of the event and the size of the model’s legacy, many high-profile releases—from quintessential colorways such as the ’85 “Bred” and “UNC Reimagined”, to special collaborations—are more or less ascertained.

Two, apparently, are with Union LA, a frequent AJ1 collaborator. One is the “Varsity Red” and “Shadow Grey” mashup; the other, a special tripartite collaboration with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design (FRGMT) imprint, a label with a penchant for pushing hype to unprecedented levels.

About the fragment design x Union LA x Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG SP

Details remain scant, but considering Union LA’s three-way collaboration with Bephies Beauty Supply last year, expect a unique touch to the silhouette’s base design, particularly when it’s imbued with FRGMT’s signature palette and sophistication. There’s nothing else to ascertain the veracity of the mockups, but they are enough to pique curiosities.

Release Details

Thus far, the only lead is a projected 2025 release window. However, considering the pedigree of the trio, expect the release to be one of the biggest in the coming year. Stay tuned!
