[Pokémon TCG] Beta Pokémon Design Revealed Via Leaked Image of Scrapped Pokémon TCG Card
The scrapped Pokémon would've been named "Wallabit" and would've been part of Gen 7.
On 12 October 2024, over one terabyte of data from Game Freak was leaked. This data included a variety of images, files, documents, scripts, and other content from the Pokémon series which never made it to the official final products. Thus far, only a single piece of information related to the Pokémon TCG has been revealed; however, that doesn’t make it any less intriguing.
A scrapped Pokémon TCG card which appeared to have been planned for seventh-generation set Sky-Splitting Charisma [SM7] showed that a Water-type Pokémon with the Japanese name “Wallabit” had been designed and proposed. It was likely part of the beta versions of Pokémon Sun and Moon, the seventh-generation main-series Pokémon video games.
Wallabit would have been the first stage of an evolutionary line if it had been able to evolve. This is proven by the fact that Wallabit is listed as a Basic Pokémon.
Although this is the only TCG-related information related to what is known as the “teraleak” to come up so far, there could perhaps be more to come in the future as all the information which is to be revealed hasn’t yet been brought to light.
