Japanese sneaker retailer mita sneakers, in collaboration with PUMA and Chinese sneaker retailer DEAL, has unveiled a new sneaker dubbed the GV Special “Guillermo Vilas”.
About the DEAL x mita sneakers x PUMA GV Special “Guillermo Vilas”
The collaboration model is based on Puma’s renowned tennis shoe, the “GV Special”, which debuted in 1982 as the signature model of Argentine tennis legend Guillermo Vilas. This shoe is characterized by its thick polyurethane midsole, offering exceptional cushioning, and an outsole known for its superior grip.
Drawing inspiration from Vilas’ mastery of clay courts, the collaboration features an upper with prints that mimic the white lines typically seen on clay courts. The tongue showcases a vintage Puma Cat logo design, used in the late 1970s to early 1980s.
Release Details
Priced at 17,600 JPY (~US$118), the DEAL x mita sneakers x PUMA GV Special “Guillermo Vilas” will launch on 19 October 2024 via mita sneakers and PUMA. Don’t miss out!
