Exciting news for all retro runner fans! New Balance is reintroducing the “740”, a popular running model from the 2000s that was prized for its reliability and comfort.

About the New Balance 740 (2024)

The 740’s upper combines synthetic leather and double mesh—a retro runner signature, while the sole features an ABZORB midsole for superior shock absorption and rebound. The design incorporates heritage elements with metallic materials and reflective accents, creating a distinctive style.

“The 740 is not just a reinterpretation; we have rediscovered what made the original special. While preserving the essence of the 740, we have reissued it with the same comfort loved by runners, in a design that seamlessly fits into today’s wardrobe,” expressed Brian Lynn, Vice President of Global Lifestyle.

Release Details

Priced at 15,400 JPY (~US$104), the New Balance 740 will launch in a “White/Green” colorway on 16 October via the New Balance website and select New Balance stores. Don’t miss out!
