The Nike Doernbecher Freestyle program celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. For two decades, the program has empowered young patients at OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital to design their own sneakers, fostering creativity and allowing them to share their stories through unique footwear.

This year’s collection features designs by Connor, Ja’Kai, Jillian, Quin, Sophia, and Tima. Each shoe offers a glimpse into the designer’s personal journey. The collection is a chance to support the hospital while sporting designs brimming with talent and standing out from the 2024 collection is the Nike Air Jordan 6 “Doernbecher”.

About the Nike Air Jordan 6 “Doernbecher”

This shoe is a masterclass in personalization, featuring heart-shaped perforations for a touch of sentimentality and customizable Velcro patches for a personal touch. Metallic gold accents add a touch of luxury, while the colorway, a harmonious blend of sail, pink, and green, is subtle and visually striking.

Release Details

The Nike Air Jordan 6 “Doernbecher” will be officially unveiled on 18 October, via the Nike Doernbecher Freestyle 20 Collection at the Portland Art Museum, with a wider release planned for the holiday season on Nike.com. The pair is expected to retail at US$200.
