Frank Cooke, a veteran of the sneaker industry, is returning to Nike/Jordan Brand. After leaving the company in 2018, Cooke announced his comeback with a mission to revitalize the brand’s connection with its audience.

Known for his work at Wish ATL and Jordan Brand, Cooke has a strong reputation for understanding sneaker culture and creating iconic designs. He’s eager to apply his expertise to bring fresh energy and excitement to the brand.

Cooke played a crucial role in introducing iconic sneakers like the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 3 to new generations, often with fresh colorways and materials that appealed to both longtime fans and newcomers. His influence extended beyond footwear, impacting apparel and lifestyle collaborations that broadened the brand’s appeal.  

Beyond his design work, Cooke mentored younger creatives, solidifying his position as a bridge between old-school sneaker culture and today’s dynamic fashion landscape. His tenure at Jordan Brand left a lasting mark on how the brand connects with its audience.

After leaving Jordan Brand in 2018, Cooke continued to work in the industry, holding positions such as creative director at Shoe Palace and contributing to ASICS. With the recent appointments of Elliott Hill as CEO and Cooke’s return to Nike, the brand seems to be regaining its signature bravado.
