New Balance’s 1906R has been a cornerstone of their recent success, riding the wave of popularity for chunky sneakers and mesh runners. Collaborations and innovative designs have kept the model fresh, from the 1906L to the DIY-inspired 1906A.

The latest addition to the 1906 family, the 1906M, draws inspiration from New Balance’s military heritage. The 950v2, a military-issued model, served as a blueprint for the 1906M. Its design incorporates elements from the Leadville 1210, a marathoner shoe, featuring a similar sole unit and overlays.

About the New Balance 1906M

The 1906M features a mesh base with a Fantomfit overlay with diamond-shaped cutouts. The classic 1906R elements, like the TPU heel counter, leather toecap, and NLock lacing setup, remain intact. Underfoot, the sneaker boasts the same comfortable foam midsole and outsole found in other 1906 variants.

Release Details

While a confirmed release date for the New Balance 1906M is not yet available, given the recent emergence of samples online, we can expect it to launch sometime in 2025.
