ASICS and Berlin-based artist, Kicki Yang Zhang, have embarked on a collaborative odyssey, reimagining the GEL-NYC. The two-piece pack embodies the harmonious duality of Yin and Yang, presenting two distinct yet complementary styles.

About the Kicki Yang Zhang x ASICS GEL-NYC Pack

The first iteration embraces a timeless allure. Enrobed in a luxurious black patent leather, the pair exudes a sense of refined elegance, while silver reflective details shimmer subtly.

The second celebrates boldness and vibrancy. A symphony of soft pastels—pink, white, and cream—dances across the upper, creating a delightful counterpoint to the black counterpart. The patent leather mudguard adds a touch of playful glamour, while the glitter-infused midsole reflects Zhang’s whimsical approach to beauty.

Zhang’s influence extends beyond the shoe’s design. Her dynamic eight-hour trampoline shoot for the promotional campaign, in which she modeled as well, showcases her versatility as an artist, beauty influencer, and ultimately, fashion icon.

The Kicki Yang Zhang x ASICS GEL-NYC collection is set to release on 26 September 2024, at select retailers and online at ASICS.com.
