The Nike Kobe 9 Protro is making a comeback in the 2024 Halo series. This collection will feature both high and low-top versions of the iconic Kobe 9. To celebrate the 10th anniversary, Nike Basketball will also re-release an original colorway of the Kobe 9 during the Holiday 2024 season.

About the Nike Kobe 9 Elite High Protro “Christmas”

Leading the charge is the Nike Kobe 9 Elite High Protro “Christmas”. This Protro design remains faithful to its 2014 counterpart, boasting a Bright Crimson, Black, and White colorway. The Flyknit upper, lateral guardrail, and outsole are predominantly Bright Crimson, complemented by White accents that add a festive touch. Black elements are incorporated into the Flywire cables, Kobe branding on the tongue, Swoosh on the lateral sides, and the carbon fiber guardrail.

For enhanced performance, the Nike Kobe 9 Protro features a Nike React drop-in midsole and full-length Zoom Air units, upgrading from the Lunarlon found in the original.

Release Details

The Nike Kobe 9 Elite High Protro “Christmas” is scheduled to launch on 12 December 2024, through Nike, SNKRS, and selected retailers online and in-store. Available in both men’s and grade school sizes, the retail price is set at US$240 and US$120, respectively.
