When Paradise Dragona [SV7a] was first confirmed for release, one of the cards expected to headline the set was Archaludon ex. That card has indeed lived up to the hype—the Special Art Rare (SAR) version of the Steel/Dragon-type Pokémon introduced in The Indigo Disk, the second DLC of ninth-generation Pokémon video games Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, has turned out to be one of the leading pulls of the latest Pokémon TCG set.

About Archaludon ex (Paradise Dragona [SV7a] 088/064)

The card’s Full Art illustration depicts Archaludon ex unleashing its Metal Defender attack, dealing a significant amount of damage while doing so. The rocks and debris shown flying around Archaludon ex are given visual emphasis in order to spotlight the sheer power of Archaludon ex and its attack.

Being one of just five SAR cards in the entire set, this card will unsurprisingly be in much demand. There’s also a possibility that it might have gameplay viability as well owing to its Ability of Alloy Build which serves as an Energy-ramping mechanism for the player’s Steel-type Pokémon.

This card’s English version isn’t out yet.

A copy of an Archaludon ex (Paradise Dragona [SV7a] 090/064) card of SAR rarity has a price of 2,000 JPY (~US$14).
