[Update 16 Sep 2024] The KAR L’Art De L’Automobile x Nike Air Force 1 was barely seen when it was first teased, and then suddenly, it’s fully revealed in two colorways. Unfortunately, this fusion of automotive artistry and athletic elegance is destined solely for the inner circle of L’Art De L’Automobile and Nike, an exclusive pair for friends and family.

The first colorway, the “968 L’AF1,” is inspired by the Porsche 968. Its photochromic upper, a chameleon-like canvas that shifts from obsidian to emerald under the sun’s caress, mirroring the enigmatic allure of its automotive counterpart.

The insoles, adorned with the dual branding of Nike and KAR L’Art, present a split graphic that pays homage to the automobile. The custom packaging is emblazoned with the 10th Anniversary insignia and additional Nike L’Art logos.

The second, the “AF1 Lightweight,” celebrates a decade of KAR L’Art De L’Automobile. This iteration boasts carbon fiber Swooshes and heel tabs etched with the commemorative inscription “L’Art De L’Automobile Garage 10-Year Anniversary.”

LINE

Arthur Kar solicits more repute through his collaborations with Nike x NOCTA (apparel capsule) and Salomon (XT-4 OG and Speedcross 3) under his label, KAR L’Art De L’Automobile. Succeeding the aforementioned, Kar has recently offered a glimpse into a new joint effort with Nike. However, the true pièce de résistance lies yet to be revealed.

The KAR L’Art De L’Automobile Instagram teased what appears to be the first footwear project between Kar and Nike.

About the KAR L’Art De L’Automobile x Nike Collaboration

Albeit obscure, intricate details emerge from the unveiled images. The sockliner showcases the fusion of Nike and L’Art branding, adorned with a split graphic paying homage to the Porsche 968, a beloved automotive icon. Moreover, the custom packaging is emblazoned with the 10th Anniversary emblem and additional Nike L’Art logos.

The specific silhouette remains obscure, but from what can be discerned from the images, the Air Force 1 is a likely candidate based on the sockliner and tongue tag, ascertained by Kar himself captured sporting a black Air Force 1.
