About the New Balance 8040

Building upon its 9060 predecessor, the New Balance 8040 arrives in three neutral colorways: Brown, Navy, and Incense. The construction employs a low-cut profile entirely enveloped in premium suede.

Departing from traditional lacing systems, the silhouette boasts a removable shroud secured by a Velcro strap. While maintaining the familiar throat and collar shape reminiscent of the 9060, the 8040 incorporates the CR motion control device at the heel.

Underfoot, the 8040 inherits the distinctive pod-like chunky sole of the 9060, presented in tonal colors that harmonize seamlessly with each upper.

Release Details

The New Balance 8040 will debut on 4 September, in the “Incense” colorway. The “Brown” and “Navy” pairs will follow suit in the ensuing months. Available in unisex sizing, find the pairs at New Balance and select retailers both online and in-store, priced at US$120.
