The Nike Air Jordan 12 boasts a pantheon of coveted colorways, but the “Taxi” is perhaps the quintessence of the model. After years of fervent speculation and pleas from the community, Jordan Brand has finally heeded the call, announcing the “Taxi’s” triumphant return in Fall/Winter 2025.

Originally gracing the hardwood in 1996, the “Taxi” cemented itself as a classic with its clean lines and bold color blocking. While a 2008 retro materialized, it arrived as part of the “Countdown” pack, tethered to the Air Jordan 11. The last standalone release came in 2013, leaving a lingering void for collectors yearning for a true return to form.

Fortunately, the forthcoming iteration stays true to the OG design, showcasing a white leather upper juxtaposed with a black mudguard, Jumpman branding, and heel accents. The shoe’s namesake hue, a vibrant “Taxi” yellow, adds a pop of color, while metallic gold subtly embellishes the top eyelets. A black rubber outsole completes the design, accented with red, “Taxi” yellow, and carbon fiber details.
