Demna Gvasalia’s Balenciaga continues to redefine the boundaries of sneaker design. Following a lineup of groundbreaking innovations such as the Cargo, 10XL, Platform, and Hike models, the luxury house is set to launch yet another daring footwear design for Winter 2024: the Stapler Sneaker.

About the Balenciaga Stapler Sneaker

The Stapler Sneaker draws inspiration from Balenciaga’s previous sneaker models, combining elements to create a truly distinctive silhouette. It features a retro runner upper design inspired by the 3XL, paired with an exaggerated curved toe reminiscent of the Cargo. The voluminous heel shape, a signature element of the 10XL, is further accentuated in the pair.

To add a unique twist, Balenciaga has incorporated an asymmetrical lacing system, creating an off-kilter aesthetic. The stapler bullets strategically placed throughout the design serve as a subtle yet striking nod to the sneaker’s namesake, further emphasizing the thematic concept.

Release Details

The Balenciaga Stapler Sneaker has launched via select Balenciaga stores, with an online release slated to follow in the near future. Retail price tag is set at US$1,150.
