Korean streetwear brand YESEYESEE has teamed up with adidas to release a new version of the adidas Country sneaker, which saw an initial release in August 2024.

About the YESEYESEE x adidas Country OG Pack

The pair features a bold take on the current trend of oversized fold-over tongues. Traditionally associated with football boots—where laces can interfere with striking the ball—adidas popularized the trend on casual footwear with the Samba sneaker, created in collaboration with Wales Bonner. This style has since gained traction, with brands like Nike, PUMA, and Umbro embracing the oversized tongue trend, even extending it to skate shoes.

In this latest iteration, adidas has pushed the boundaries further, designing a fold-over tongue that is not just large but massive. The tongue on the YESEYESEE x adidas Country OG covers most of the laces and spills over the sides of the shoe, making a striking statement.

The shoes are available in blue or black and come alongside a football-inspired capsule collection.

Release Details

The YESEYESEE x adidas Country OG pack and capsule collection debuted at the YESEYESEE flagship store in Seoul on 15 August 2024. A wider release of the collaboration is anticipated in the near future.
