The New Balance MADE in USA 997 “Grey” Is Back
Constructed with a harmonious blend of premium suede, leather, and mesh, the sneaker adheres to New Balance's exacting standards.
New Balance has long been synonymous with meticulous craftsmanship and premium quality, a reputation solidified by its MADE in USA line. Central to this collection is the iconic 997, a design masterpiece originally conceived by legendary sneaker architect Steven Smith in 1991.
While the model enjoyed a resurgence in popularity during the late 2010s, it subsequently faded from the spotlight as New Balance focused on variations like the 997H, 997S, and 997R. However, the recent Teddy Santis-led Paris exclusive colorway has reignited enthusiasm for the classic 997, signaling its triumphant return.
The forthcoming New Balance 997 MADE in USA “Grey” embodies the brand’s timeless aesthetic. Constructed with a harmonious blend of premium suede, leather, and mesh, the sneaker adheres to New Balance’s exacting standards.
The upper showcases a signature grey palette, accentuated by textured leather overlays and a contrasting White suede N logo. The White leather sockliner and lace set complement the grey tones, creating a clean and sophisticated look. Underfoot, a dual-tone grey and White midsole provides exceptional cushioning and support, while a durable black and grey outsole completes the design.
Expected to release in 2024, the New Balance 997 MADE in USA “Grey” will be available at New Balance and select retailers both online and in-store. Offered in men’s sizing, the sneaker’s retail price is yet to be confirmed but is anticipated to be around US$220, aligning with previous releases.
