Another New Balance 1906A Is in the Works
This time, arriving in a predominantly grey tone with tasteful touches of metallic silver.
New Balance is capitalizing on the popularity of its 1906 line with the new 1906A, recently announced in “Sea Salt/Metallic Silver”, set for release on 24 July, as well as iterations of the silhouette in “Triple Black” and in conjunction with Basketcase.
This new 1906A colorway features a predominantly grey upper. The design stays true to the classic 1906 silhouette but adds a unique twist with oversized, partially detached overlays, as is characteristic of the A-variant.
Leaked close-up images reveal metallic silver leather accents on the quarter panel and additional underlay sections, some even extending onto the midsole. The tongue label features a diagonal stitch, and the forefoot eyestay appears positioned closer to the toe, resulting in lower-slung laces. Unsurprisingly, the sole and TPU heel counter maintain the standard design seen in other 1906 iterations.
An official release date for the New Balance 1906A in this grey and metallic silver colorway remains unknown, but we can expect it to retail for US$170. Check back soon for more updates on this release.
