[Update 1 Jul 2024] House of Heatº has unveiled a speculative mockup of the anticipated Travis Scott x Nike Zoom Field Jaxx “Limelight”, providing a potential preview of the upcoming collaboration.

No sport or industry is safe from Travis Scott’s influence. From gaming to food, his collaborative portfolio has been expansive. And next to be subsumed is baseball, having teased a collection last week which includes apparel and footwear. The latter taking the form of the Nike Zoom Field Jaxx.

This unexpected shock drop coincides perfectly with the MLB All-Star Game and Home Run Derby, further amplifying the energy surrounding the release.

The Zoom Field Jaxx isn’t entirely new territory for eagle-eyed fans. Similar to Scott’s penchant for teasing upcoming Jordan Jumpman Jack TR colorways, glimpses of the Jaxx (originally dubbed the “Shark-A-Don”) have been spotted adorning the artist’s feet on various occasions. Now, with the official release of the “Sail” colorway, a closer look reveals a design that masterfully blends nostalgia with modern innovation.

Drawing inspiration from two iconic ’90s silhouettes, the Jaxx seamlessly integrates the upper of the Nike Land Shark with the tooling of the Zoom Spiridon.

The premium upper is crafted from luxurious suede and leather, with vibrant “Limelight” hues gracing the toe box, mudguard, and midfoot. Crisp white leather overlays on the vamp, eyestays, and heel provide a striking contrast.

A transparent TPU and leather lockdown strap on the midfoot ensures a secure fit, while a classic black Swoosh adorns the side panel. For added comfort, the collar is lined with a breathable brown mesh, while the Cactus Jack logo takes center stage on the heel. Completing its design is a brown Zoom Spiridon midsole paired with a Limelight outsole.

This Travis Scott x Nike Zoom Field Jaxx is projected for a Holiday 2024 release through Nike SNKRS, Travis Scott’s website, and select retailers. They’re expected to be availed in men’s sizing for a retail price of US$160.
