Marking a significant milestone in his long-term partnership with New Balance, Japanese professional baseball player Shohei Ohtani has now unveiled his first signature shoe model: the New Balance Ohtani 1.

Designed for peak performance, the Ohtani 1 comes in two versions: the Ohtani v1 Metal and the Ohtani v1 Turf. Both models boast a premium PU upper and a responsive FuelCell midsole for exceptional support.

The key difference lies in the outsole, with the v1 Metal featuring a spike sole for optimal grip on the mound and the v1 Turf offering a rugged trainer sole for versatility. Each version is available in sleek black and white colorways, accented with gold detailing.

Accompanying the footwear comes a lineup of apparel, ranging from jackets, nylon pants, shorts, and batting gloves.

The New Balance Ohtani 1 footwear and apparel collection will officially launch on 17 July, 10AM (JST) via New Balance Japan’s website, with prices ranging from 8,800 JPY (~US$56) to 26,400 JPY (~US$167). Additionally, a graphic tee featuring Ohtani’s silhouette alongside New Balance’s logo will drop on 21 July with a retail price tag of 4,950 JPY (~US$32).
