Balenciaga Hits the Fast Lane With a Need for Speed Mobile Collab
Just don't call it "fast fashion".
After an unexpected partnership with Under Armour, Demna’s Balenciaga is now venturing into the gaming realm. Teaming up with the racing video game “Need for Speed Mobile”, the duo unveils various exclusive merchandise and in-game content.
On the reality side, the duo launches a trio of tops, including a short sleeve tee, a long sleeve tee, and a zip-up hoodie. All pieces feature bold co-branding at the front, while the back showcases a distinctive Balenciaga tape design creatively transformed into the NFS initials.
To complete the lineup, a baseball cap is also unveiled, adorned with similar co-branding and the iconic notched visor.
In the virtual realm, the collaboration offers immersive experiences. Players can customize their rides with exclusive Balenciaga-designed liveries, and Demna’s influence is seen in the curated character looks.
Additionally, the in-game world features a detailed replica of the luxury house’s London flagship store, a sneak peek into the Shanghai Taikoo Hui flagship, and graffiti-covered walls.
Launched on 11 July, the Balenciaga x Need for Speed Mobile collab is now live in China. The in-game content will also be available globally later this year, while the physical collection remains exclusive to select Balenciaga stores in China and balenciaga.cn.
