Following a cryptic social media tease earlier this week, BAPE has unveiled the full scope of its forthcoming collaboration with Xbox. This eagerly anticipated capsule collection bridges the ever-expanding world of gaming with the iconic streetwear label’s signatures.

The centerpiece of the collection is the striking reimagining of BAPE’s ape insignia, rendered in dynamic collision with the Xbox logo. This co-branded motif lays claim of the range of graphic tees, offered in both black and white. The graphic treatment goes a step further through the use of a dual-layer rubber print technique on the tees, zip hoodies, and shorts, creating a captivating three-dimensional effect.

On the footwear front, the capsule boasts a custom iteration of the BAPE STA sneaker. The pair’s clean white silhouette serves as a canvas for the co-branded print, with green accents lining the upper and the signature STA branding. A motivational inscription, “Power your dreams”, works as a final flourish beneath the heel.

While the focus remains on the apparel collection, the rumor mill purports a limited-edition Xbox console to accompany the capsule continue to circulate.

This wouldn’t be the first time that BAPE has ventured beyond apparel in its collaborations—in 2014, a custom Xbox One controller accompanied their release, and 2019 saw a PUBG collaboration that included game-specific merchandise and even in-game assets.

The BAPE x Xbox capsule launches on 13 July at BAPE’s online store and brick-and-mortar locations.
