The Summer Olympics 2024, or Paris 2024, is kicking off in France’s Capital later this month on 26 July. The games will last till 11 Aug. This year’s Olympic Games have a few standout qualities.

For one, for the first time ever in the history of the Olympics, the opening ceremony will be held outside of a stadium. Instead, it will be held on the Seine River in Paris, with the national delegation carried on boats. Furthermore, Paris 2024 will debut breakdancing as an official sport, as well as Kayak Cross.

In addition, some unorthodox games returning to the Olympics in 2024 include skateboarding, surfing, sport climbing, and 3×3 basketball.

There’s much to look forward to during this year’s Olympics, and the same can be said on the sneaker-front. Brands like Nike, PUMA, adidas, Converse and the like have all released iterations of silhouettes that draw inspiration from or are an homage to Paris 2024.
