[Update 4 Jul 2024] A release date has been announced! The Futura x Nike Jam “Olympics” will arrive on 26 July, on the very day of the Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics. Find them then on Nike SNKRS with an RRP of US$130.

After a string of high-profile collaborations earlier this year with Crocs, Supreme, and Nike (SB Dunk Low and “Paris 2024 Olympics” collection), Futura sets his sights on the Nike Jam, a collaboration perfectly suited to his artistic pedigree and the shoe’s breakdancing focus. A pair injected with hip-hop’s DNA.

Officially unveiled at Nike’s On Air event in Paris in April, the Nike Jam boasts unique tooling meticulously crafted to meet the rigorous specifications of breakdancing. The most striking detail being its upside-down Swoosh logo adorning the midsole, transforming into the right-side-up emblem during various breakdancing maneuvers.

Futura’s artistic hallmarks take center stage, adorning the insoles, interior linings, and heel pull-tabs with a vibrant explosion of blots and sprays in shades of pink, red, orange, and concord purple. The iconic Nike branding on the heel echoes the distinct typeface Futura consistently employs across his works.

While an official release date for the Futura x Nike Jam remains undisclosed, two colorways of the silhouette are confirmed to drop on 24 July. This strategic timing suggests the collaboration will likely be available around the Paris Olympics’ Opening Ceremony later this month. Stay tuned!
