Jae Tips x Saucony Matrix [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]
Tips, known for his vibrant and innovative footwear designs, carries on this design language to his latest collaborative shoe.
[Update 12 Nov 2024] The highly anticipated Jae Tips x Saucony Matrix, first teased by Jae Tips himself in June, is set to make its grand debut at ComplexCon 2024 on 16 and 17 November 2024.
Jae Tips has prepared two captivating colorways for the Matrix: a dreamy cotton candy-inspired blue and pink, and a rich burgundy/brown/violet combination. The shoe itself embodies the essence of the 1990s with its silver quarter logo, multi-layered suede upper, and vibrant color palette. Additional design elements include chrome piping, a unique geometric quarter logo pattern, “Savior” text on the heel, and Jae Tips’ signature colorful flower logo.
Specific details about a wider release have yet to be announced, so stay tuned for further updates. In the meantime, check out new images of the drop in the gallery above.
Recent Saucony collaborator, musician Jae Tips, joins forces with the American athletic footwear and apparel brand yet again, this time for a fresh take on the classic Saucony Matrix silhouette which he teased during Paris Fashion Week. So far, he’s made his mark on the Saucony Grid Azura 2000, the Saucony Grid Shadow 2 in two colors, and the Saucony ProGrid Omni 9.
Tips, known for his vibrant and innovative footwear designs, carries on this design language to his latest collaborative shoe. The rich upper is crafted from suede and mesh. Deep Burgundy takes center stage on the toe box and midfoot panels, offering a luxurious base for the shoe. Tan and Pinkish hues are layered onto the toecap, laces, sockliner, and heel overlay, creating a soft contrast that elevates the overall aesthetic.
A touch of White accents the Saucony logo on the midfoot, while the tongue showcases a unique split-branding detail. One side features the iconic Saucony logo, while the other proudly displays Jae Tips’ “Savior” logo, a testament to the collaborative spirit behind the design. A vibrant Pink and Green midsole paired with a black rubber outsole completes the look, ensuring the sneaker stands out visually and functionally.
While an official release date remains under wraps, Jae Tips’ history of teasing projects well in advance suggests a potential drop in late 2024 or early 2025. When the shoe finally arrives, expect it to be available through Jae Tips’ website, Saucony’s online store, and select brick-and-click retailers.
