Despite being the newest of the eight Eeveelutions, Sylveon has clearly established itself as easily the second-most popular, trailing only Umbreon. Thus, when Eevee-themed Pokémon TCG set Eevee Heroes was released, Sylveon cards were understandably among the most highly-anticipated. The pick of the bunch? This Hyper Rare (HR) version of the Sylveon VMAX card.

This card features a Full Art illustration of the Fairy-type Eeveelution in its Dynamaxed form. Having made use of Dynamax Energy to grow to a gargantuan size, the Intertwining Pokémon is surrounded by an array of ordinary-sized Pokémon—with some even on top of its now-massive ribbons. This image encapsulates Sylveon VMAX’s gentle demeanor while portraying a scene which could easily be pictured in the Pokémon video games, anime, or manga—and this greatly adds to the card’s value.

Of course, the card’s rarity of HR has to be mentioned. Being one of the set’s rarest cards inherently makes this Sylveon VMAX card seriously valuable—and this is especially so when considering the fact that the set in question is Eevee Heroes [S6a]. Eevee and its evolutions have been fan favorites since day one. Considering the fact that Sylveon is not only an Eeveelution but also among the most popular of them, this card’s demand was never in doubt.

Finally, Sylveon holds particular appeal to LGBTQ+ Pokémon fans, giving the card an additional boost in demand from this demographic. Due to its color scheme as well as the concept of the Eeveelutions itself, among other factors, Sylveon is an unofficial “icon” to a great many LGBTQ+ people in the Pokémon community.
