WACKO MARIA is back with another collaboration, this time drawing inspiration from Mamoru Oshii’s cyberpunk anime film “Innocence,” the sequel to “Ghost in the Shell.” The film, set in a cyberized near-future city, revolves around a murder case involving a runaway android girl. This sci-fi narrative is vividly brought to life in the new apparel line.
Get ready for a unique collision of styles. The collection includes Hawaiian shirts and sweatshirts that feature key visuals and scenes from “Innocence.” The Hawaiian shirts, a staple of WACKO MARIA, showcase striking designs that capture the essence of the movie. The sweatshirts come with the film’s logo on the front and detailed graphics on the back, depicting the girl android and Gabriel, Detective Batou’s pet dog.
Launching in Japan on Saturday, 15 June 2024, this collection will be available at WACKO MARIA stores and authorized retailers. The Hawaiian Shirt retails for 36,300 JPY (~US$231) in sizes S to XXL and the Sweatshirts at 10,450 JPY (~US$66) in sizes M to XXL. You can also grab them via SNKRDUNK after the release.
