The Special Art Rare (SAR) Pokémon-ex versions of the so-called “Loyal Three”—Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti—immediately became among the most highly anticipated cards of Night Wanderer [SV6a] as soon as their inclusion in the set was confirmed. All of those three cards, including this Okidogi ex card, have indeed lived up to the hype.

This card’s Full Art illustration alludes to the lore surrounding the Loyal Three by zooming in on the Toxic Chains that surround Okidogi ex’s neck. In the in-universe lore, when Pecharunt turned the Loyal Three into its three retainers, it did so by placing Toxic Chains on them which bound the Legendary trio to its will. By doing so, Pecharunt also granted the deepest desires of all three Pokémon—in Okidogi’s case, immense physical strength. This element is also alluded to in the illustration as Okidogi ex’s fist is placed front and center.

Gameplay-wise, this card is notable for its synergy with the Pecharunt ex card from the same set. Pecharunt ex’s Ability allows the player to place a Dark-type Pokémon in the Active spot; however, that Pokémon will now be poisoned. Okidogi ex, classified as a Dark-type Pokémon in the TCG, can take advantage of this via its Crazy Chain attack which inflicts double damage when it’s poisoned.
