Among the most talked-about Pokémon TCG cards of late have been cards from the Crown Zenith set, the last English expansion set of the Pokémon TCG’s eighth generation. VSTAR Universe [S12a], the Japanese version of Crown Zenith, is very possibly in line for a similar spike in demand that drives up card values—and if this happens as is expected, one of the cards likely to see its value soar is the Entei V card.

Entei’s Pokédex description is one of the most iconic in the history of Pokémon. Although the Fire-type Legendary Beast was introduced in the second generation, its Pokédex entry in the fourth-generation Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum video game reads as follows: “It is said that when it roars, a volcano erupts somewhere around the globe.” The Full Art illustration of this Entei V card is therefore a direct reference to the lore surrounding Entei.

Additionally, as the Pokémon V form of one of the three Legendary Beasts, completionists will seek this card to round out the trio. In VSTAR Universe [S12a], there’s a Suicune V card as well as a Raikou V card; those who own those two cards but not this one will undoubtedly be more likely to specifically seek it out.

The English version of this card is GG36/GG70 in the Crown Zenith set.
