The Nike SB Dunk Low Pro B “Parachute Beige” Tells A Story
Before the iconic Nike SB line came to be, the Swoosh offered a series of "Pro B" Dunks which paved the way for the Nike SB Dunk Low.
The Nike SB Dunk has been a steady staple in the sneakersphere since its debut in the late ’90s and early ’00s skating scene. But before the iconic Nike SB line came to be, the Swoosh offered a series of “Pro B” Dunks with a thicker tongue—appreciated and quickly adopted by skaters due to the extra padding. This design element served as a good indicator that the market needed a Nike skate shoe, and paved the way for the incumbent Nike SB Dunk Low.
In 2024, Nike SB is bringing back this classic style in clean “Parachute Beige”. The shoe boasts a premium build with buttery suede and canvas materials. The upper features a nearly monochromatic look in Parachute Beige, with suede on the toe, mudguard, midfoot, eyestays, and heel. The Swoosh and laces match this hue, while the sockliner, thick tongue, and collar offer a subtle contrast in Desert Khaki.
Since this pair is an homage to the “Pro B” Dunks, the tongue tag ditches the Nike SB branding, mirroring the original silhouette. However, the insole retains the SB branding and an Air Zoom logo, signifying that it utilizes modern SB Dunk technology. The sail midsole and gum rubber outsole complete the look.
The Nike SB Dunk Low Pro B “Parachute Beige” is slated to release in Spring 2025 at select brick-and-click skate shops and potentially on SNKRS and Nike.com. It will arrive in men’s sizing with an RRP of US$125. Stay tuned to SNKRDUNK Magazine for more details as they emerge.
