Seiko’s renowned 5 Sports series has just hit a new milestone with the introduction of previously exclusive overseas models to the Japanese market. Starting 10 May 2024, fans can get their hands on these vibrant GMT models at select locations including Seiko Dream Square.

The Seiko 5 Sports, a brand that has been evolving since its birth in 1968, is known for its combination of automatic winding, water resistance, day-date display, crown at 4 o’clock, and durable construction. This new release, based on the SKX series, incorporates these features and adds a GMT function for dual time zone display.

Three striking colorways are being introduced:

Bright Yellow Dial (SSK017JT) – JPY 63,800 (~ US$415) Dubbed “Yellow Boy” by fans, this model features a vivid yellow dial with a red GMT hand and red “GMT” inscription at 6 o’clock.

Blue and Red Dial Ring (SSK019JT) – JPY 63,800 (~ US$415): Popular overseas, this variant boasts a blue and red dial ring with dark-toned bezel accents.

Black and Gold (SSK021JT) – 66,000 yen (~ US$428): Featuring a two-tone case, this model combines a gold bezel and GMT hand with a predominantly black design for a sophisticated look.

All models come with a 42.5mm stainless steel case and a multi-row stainless steel bracelet. They are powered by the Japanese mechanical caliber 4R34, offering a power reserve of approximately 41 hours.

These GMT models are now available at Seiko Dream Square, Seiko Boutique, Watch Town, The Clock House, and the Seiko Online Store.
