It’s been a decade since the inception of the adidas Spezial line, and the Three Stripes is celebrating in style with the adidas Spezial “DECADE Pack” as part of its Spring 2024 collection. This release marks the first time adidas has retroed shoes from the Spezial collection, and it features some highly sought-after pairs.

The first notable shoe in the “DECADE Pack” collection is the adidas Ardwick, an iconic green suede shoe originally released in 2014. Back then, it was exclusive to Oi Polloi in Manchester and currently fetches over US$1,000 on the resale market.

Next up, there’s the adidas Blackburn Nightsafe Edition. This limited-edition shoe pays homage to Gary Aspden’s (co-creator of the adidas Spezial line) hometown and the Nightsafe organization that supports vulnerable youth. Originally released in 2019 with only 160 pairs, this version features the Nightsafe logo on the heel.

Then, there’s the adidas Lacombe. This popular white leather trainer, first introduced in 2016 for Spezial, has become a mainstay. It even saw a collaboration with Donald Glover in 2018.

Finally, there’s the adidas Garwen (updated). This leisure shoe gets a refresh for the “DECADE Pack” with a tan leather and suede upper and a gum sole.

The adidas Spring 2024 collection Spezial “Decade Pack” launches on 24 May 2024, in limited quantities. It will be available exclusively through adidas CONFIRMED and select Spezial retailers. With the exception of 100 pairs of the Blackburn “Nightsafe” edition sold at the DECADE exhibition, the “DECADE Pack” will not be available at the Darwen exhibition or related events.
