[Update 15 May 2024] Contrary to the release date announced earlier, the Wales Bonner x adidas Spring/Summer 2024 Collection will arrive on 21 May instead.

The quintessential adidas Samba is at the apex of its popularity. Although it returned to the fore of the mainstream’s attention thanks to the unofficial endorsements of fashion-forward celebrities, it’s lasted as long as it has thanks to its collaborators. And the most stellar of them thus far is Grace Wales Bonner and her namesake label.

adidas Originals and the British LVMH Young Designer Prize winner have been consistent with their seasonal offerings. In continuance, this Spring 2024 collection will likewise include footwear and athletic apparel and accessories.

Centerstage is the Samba and its two variants. The indoor soccer shoe gets retrofitted with premium nappa leather and a quilted forefoot. At the rear is a contrasting heel crafted from tan tumbled leather on one colorway, and blue pony hair on the other. At the confluence of Wales Bonner’s artistry and adidas’ function-focused designs, is the ultra-grippy gum sole unit.

In addition to the above-mentioned, expect additional colorways of the SL 72 silhouette, in blue and volt (not pictured). Rounding out the release, the apparel range includes bucket hats, bags, jackets, pants, and vests, all infused with Wales Bonner’s signature aesthetic.
