[Update 16 May 2024] The Nike Air Jordan 9 Golf “Barons” is available now on Nike’s brick-and-click stores, having been released on 15 May.

Jordan Brand is set to release the Air Jordan 9 Golf “Barons” in May 2024, paying tribute to Michael Jordan’s time with the Birmingham Barons baseball team. This release commemorates a pivotal moment in Jordan’s career, following his initial retirement from basketball in 1993 when he ventured into baseball.

The “Barons” colorway features an all-black upper, a nod to the player-exclusive gear Jordan wore on the baseball field. The heels are adorned with the number “45”, reflecting his jersey number during his baseball tenure, while the insoles are designed with black and white pinstripes and a varsity-style “45”, enhancing the theme with a touch of nostalgia.

Beyond its historical significance, the Air Jordan 9 Golf “Barons” is crafted for performance on the golf course. It has a cleated outsole for excellent traction, marrying style with practicality for golf enthusiasts.

Priced at US$230, this model will be available at select Jordan Brand and Nike stores and retailers. But stay tuned for a firm released date.
