Helen Kirkum Applies Her Deconstructionist Signature Over the adidas X_PLRBOOST and AVRYN
Comprising only 3,000 units per style.
adidas and London-based designer Helen Kirkum, renowned for her innovative approaches to stock materials, retrofits the AVRYN and X_PLRBOOST silhouettes with her signature deconstructionist aesthetic.
For a start, the X_PLRBOOST embraces a softer build, complemented by a lively color palette and hand-drawn adidas stripes. Its triple webbing loop enhances its functionality in urban settings, catering to the needs of the modern wearer.
Meanwhile, the AVRYN features more intricate touches such as the raw edges and inside-out woven labels. These elements not only add visual interest but also underscore a broader commitment to sustainability, with a minimum of 20% recycled materials integrated into the construction to minimize environmental impact.
The exclusive Helen Kirkum x adidas pack, comprising only 3,000 units per style, was released on 3 May. The X_PLRBOOST is priced at US$190, with the AVRYN at 130 GBP (~US$165). Find the pairs at adidas.com and select retailers.
