The BAPE x COMME des GARÇONS S/S 2024 Collection Releases 13 April
Classic workwear aesthetics reimagined through an avant-garde lens.
Two of Japan’s most famous fashion exports, A BATHING APE and COMME des GARÇONS, are back to usher in the warmer months ahead with their Spring/Summer 2024 collection.
This time, the collection takes a surprising lean towards workwear aesthetics. Case in point: the inclusion of classic hickory stripes and chambray fabrics reimagined with a BAPE x CDG twist. Neon accents add a pop of color, reflecting the optimism of the season and the avant-garde design language CDG has been known for.
Key pieces to look out for:
Hickory Stripe Rain Jacket & Shorts (June 2024): Functional and stylish, a combo designed for unpredictable weather. (Price to be confirmed)
Graphic Tees: One features co-branded lettering in blue layered over the BAPE logo, while the other showcases three pink apes with “CDG” written underneath.
Additional Apparel: Expect a range of clothing featuring graphics and branding bearing the mark of of both labels.
The first wave of the BAPE x COMME des GARÇONS collection releases on Saturday, 13 April. However, the hickory stripe rain jacket and shorts will be available later in June. Prices range between 11,000 JPY (~US$70) to 42,900 JPY (~US$280).
