Snowboarding Prodigy Su Yiming Fronts His Own adidas Samba XLG
Translating his finesse on the slopes into the realm of footwear.
Following his masterclass on the slopes with his mindblowing 1980-degree spin, leading to his first Chinese World Cup snowboard podium finish, Chinese snowboarding prodigy Su Yiming translates his finesse on the slopes into the realm of footwear.
Ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics, the 20-year old teams up with adidas to design his own Samba XLG. This exclusive collaboration (likely for Asian markets only) boasts a disparate design. Each shoe features contrasting Three Stripes: Gold on the left shoe’s lateral, black on the right, with the colors flipped on the medial.
Built on the classic adidas’ blueprint, the Samba XLG features a mix of materials: Grey suede lands the toe, while White leather forms the rest of the upper. It’s finished with Black leather accents on the heel.
Moreover, “Samba” is emblazoned in black on the lateral, adjacent to Su’s butterfly logo on the heel, symbolizing his own metamorphosis. All of the aforementioned sitting atop a translucent sole unit.
The Su Yiming x adidas Samba XLG has been released in select Asian countries and is expected to remain exclusive to the region. Nevertheless, stay tuned should that change. Available in unisex sizes, the pair bears an RRP of approximately US$120.
