New Balance 9060 “Moonbeam/Vintage Rose”: Classic Meets Y2K with a Pop of Color
Is this the New Balance silhouette that could steal the "Shoe of the Year" crown?
Silhouettes vying for “Shoe of the Year” are a dime a dozen, but the New Balance 9060 is making a strong case. Inspired by the brand’s classic 99X series and the chunky styles of the Y2K era, this shoe maintains a fresh aesthetic with a constant stream of colorways. The latest iteration, the “Moonbeam/Vintage Rose”, perfectly exemplifies this approach.
The upper mixes soft, creamy mesh with cool grey leather overlays for a touch of sophistication. Pops of light blue on the iconic N logo and tongue add a playful touch without going overboard. White laces and a matching sockliner keep things clean.
The chunky midsole takes center stage with a vibrant mix of volt, blue, and vintage rose, creating a striking contrast against the upper. Function meets fashion here, with the colorful midsole paired with a tough black rubber outsole for grip and support.
The New Balance 9060 “Moonbeam/Vintage Rose” launches 15 March 2024 at New Balance stores and select retailers online and in-store. It’s available in men’s sizes and will retail at US$160.
