The adidas Campus 80s has held its own over the decades, establishing itself as a steady staple within the sports brand’s stratosphere.

The genesis of the silhouette’s stardom perhaps began when photographer Glenn E. Friedman snapped a young Adam Horowitz and Mike Diamond (Ad-Rock and Mike D, respectively) rocking them for the cover of the Check Your Head album and its corresponding promo photos.

The suede low-top has also seen prominent collaborations over the years, further raising its profile—Footpatrol, BAPE, UNDFTD, and Kazuki Kuraishi have made their mark on the silhouette.

This year, BEAUTY&YOUTH—a subsidiary of Japanese apparel and retail brand United Arrows—has joined the mix with their “Light Blue” iteration of the shoe.

Not much is known about the sneaker at this point—except that it comes in a stunning shade of blue, luxurious suede, and has “campus” embossed on the side in true blue Campus 80s fashion. For lovers of the classic aesthetic, this pair is sure to scratch that itch.

The BEAUTY&YOUTH x adidas Campus 80s “Light Blue” is expected to drop early April 2024 at adidas and United Arrows. The pair comes at a price point of 15,400 JPY (~US$104).

In other news, new images of the JJJJound x adidas Samba Pack have emerged.
