After the successful launch of the GT-2160 pack in 2023, LA-based AIREI and the Japanese sportswear label ASICS now return for a conceptual interpretation of the latter’s GEL-QUANTUM KINETIC footwear model.

Based on AIREI’s “WINDHORSE” SS24 showcase, the duo wraps the aforementioned model in khadi gauze, a fabric made without electricity in Eastern India. Each pair will then be manually set ablaze by AIREI, symbolizing a commitment to noble causes, the resilience of scarred fabrics, and the triumph over challenges.

Limited to 30 signed and numbered pairs, the AIREI x ASICS GEL-QUANTUM KINETIC will arrive in a similar gauze-engulfed shoebox, further amplifying the conceptual details.
