Feeling Blue Isn’t So Sad in This The Hundreds x Dadu Shin Collection
Spotlighting the Brooklyn artist's intricate ballpoint artwork.
Pioneering LA streetwear label The Hundreds connects with Dadu Shin to infuse his distinct East Coast style into their latest collection. All adorned with the Brooklyn artist’s intricate ballpoint artwork, the collaboration features the usual suspects of a sweatshirt, a graphic tee, and a snapback.
Drawing inspiration from the mysteries of everyday, he transcribes the surreal essence of our interactions and experiences. The result: two captivating sketches rendered in melancholic hues. One depicting a solemn woman shedding a tear, the other portraying a hand with ten extended fingers.
In an official statement, Shin expressed his intent to convey the beauty as well as the unsettling aspects of existence, aiming to evoke an eerie yet poignant atmosphere in his art. He emphasizes the importance of acknowledging and embracing these complex emotions.
Explore the collection showcased in the gallery above, and don’t miss the opportunity to purchase the pieces when they become available on The Hundreds’ official webstore on Thursday, 15 February, 10AM (PST).
