[Update 14 Mar 2024] The Nike Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement Reimagined” will not be reimagined afterall. Rather, it will stay faithful to its original 1988 design—a treat for nostalgic fans of the silhouette.

[Update 11 Mar 2024] The Nike Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement Reimagined” is getting released on 23 November 2024, just in time for the holiday season. Find them then at Jordan Brand and Nike’s brick-and-click stores.

Additionally, the highly anticipated sneaker will arrive in grade school (GS), preschool (PS), and toddler (TD) sizes, making it available for the whole family to rock. Stay tuned for more updates and images in the coming weeks!

The legend of the Nike Air Jordan 3 began when Michael Jordan took off from the free-throw line at the 1988 Slam Dunk Contest. This year, its iconic “Black Cement” colorway gets the Reimagined treatment similar to its “White Cement” counterpart released last year.

As part of the series that also includes 2022’s Sneaker of the Year, the AJ1 “Lost & Found”, the Jumpman promises a closer look and feel to the original akin to His Airness’ playing days.

Expect all its hallmarks to be mainstays: the Black tumbled leather upper, Fire Red and Cement Grey for accents, and the signature elephant print suede on the mudguard and heel. And to truly recapture that vintage feel, rumors suggest some aged detailing too.

Images have yet to be disclosed at the time of writing (the photo in the gallery being its 2018 retro). Nevertheless, the Nike Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement Reimagined” is scheduled to drop sometime in Holiday 2024 on Nike SNKRS. Available in full-family sizing, men’s pairs are expected to retail for US$220.
