[Update 2 Apr 2024] A first look at the incoming Nike Air Jordan 17 Low “University Blue” have emerged, thanks to @onebowermandr! Stay tuned for more in the coming months leading up to its 28 August release on Nike SNKRS.

The Nike Air Jordan 17 Low, originally launched in 2002 was famously worn by Michael Jordan during his Washington Wizards stint. 22 years later, it’s scheduled for a return with the “Lightning” colorway at the vanguard.

Succeeding the aforementioned will be the titular “University Blue” colorway (AKA “Carolina”). Its iconic makeup pays homage to MJ’s college days, channeling a clean white base with pops of vibrant University Blue and subtle accents of black and chrome.

It retains its low-cut profile while boasting a premium leather upper. For enhanced support and a snug fit comes a Dynamic Fit inner sleeve. The signature chrome strip on the heel will be a mainstay as well, alongside the integrated lace-up closure.

Moreover, the shoe incorporates a full-length shank plate and a TPU heel stabilizer. Everything comes together over its lightweight phylon midsole and herringbone-patterned outsole.

The Nike Air Jordan 17 Low “University Blue” is currently scheduled for release on 28 August 2024 with an RRP of US$300. Find them on Nike SNKRS and Jordan Brand retailers then.

Expect more AJ17s to return this year with the rumored “White/Varsity Red”, as well as two more A Ma Maniére iterations.
