[Update 7 Oct 2024] The Green Goblin-inspired Nike Air Flightposite “Metallic Gold” is now expected to be released on 30 October 2024 via Nike stores, online and in-store. Here is a throwback to the early 2000s. Remember how Willem Dafoe turned a pair of Nike Air Flightposite into part of his Green Goblin costume, for the 2002 Spider-man film? Well, Nike’s bringing them back for the holidays!

This time, it’s rocking its OG Metallic Gold colorway, complete with all the trimmings—featuring metallic gold Foamposite shell, black lycra shroud, and a hidden lacing system.

This 2024 iteration celebrates the shoe’s 25th anniversary with some subtle upgrades. It has kept the classic Dynamic-Fit neoprene sleeve for a snug fit, the Zoom Air in the forefoot for responsiveness, and the encapsulated Air-Sole units in the heel for cushioning.

The Nike Air Flightposite “Metallic Gold” drops this holiday season at Nike, SNKRS, and select retailers. It will be available in men’s sizes and retails at US$240. This golden oldie is sure to be a hot commodity so keep an eye on SNKRDUNK Magazine for the latest update on its official release.
