The New Balance 990 series is easily one of the quintessences of the brand. Born in 1982 as the ultimate high-performance running shoe, it quickly transcended its athletic roots to become a symbol of style and comfort. Now, in 2024, the latest iteration—the 990v6—continues to redefine this iconic lineage.
Akin to last year’s Carhartt WIP x New Balance 990v6, the leaked colorway boasts a versatile “Workwear/Grey Brown” palette. A traditional Grey is also purported to be in the works.
Aside from its suede, leather, and mesh construction, the 990v6 is also equipped with the hallmark FuelCell midsole that delivers the comfort that has become synonymous with the Bostonian shoemaker.
Not much else has been disclosed about the pair but they are expected to be released this year, with an RRP of US$195. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks!
