The archetypal Nike Air Jordan 1 Low OG, a staple on the basketball courts and city streets, has undergone a luxurious transformation, emerging as a stunning handbag in one of the high-end market’s most coveted colors: The emerald green that’s become synonymous with Bottega Veneta.

The titular Nike WMNS Air Jordan 1 MM Low “Lucky Green” continues the Method of Make (MM) series, a Jordan Brand initiative that elevates classic sneakers to luxury collectibles.

While the iconic 1985 silhouette remains recognizable, the “handbag for the feet” boasts some striking alterations that embody the MM ethos. The iconic Swoosh shrinks down (à la the Nike J Force 1 Low LX SP), transforming into a dainty gold charm, reminiscent of those found on designer handbags with price tags in the four-digit range.

The tongue label receives a similar makeover, ditching the traditional nylon for a decorative gold-plated “AIR JORDAN” tag. Even the Wings logo joins the party, getting the high-end treatment with a chiseled metal finish.

And then there’s the upper. Forget smooth leather—this handbag flaunts a unique texture derivative of Prada’s Saffiano leather. Exposed, chunky stitching runs throughout, further elevating the craftsmanship and drawing the eye to the bag’s meticulous construction.

There isn’t a firm release date yet of the Nike WMNS Air Jordan 1 MM Low “Lucky Green”, but they are expected to arrive in 1 April 2024. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks!
