The PLEASURES x PUMA Suede XL “Black” Summons Early 2000s Skate Aesthetic
Channeling nostalgia the way the irreverent LA label usually does.
PLEASURES and PUMA succeed their prior collaboration on the VELOPHASIS, with a defiant twist on the legendary Suede, concluding the titular silhouette’s 75th-anniversary celebrations on a high note.
Cranking up the volume on early 2000s skate aesthetic, the PLEASURES x PUMA Suede XL pumps up the original’s design with a chunky, exaggerated shape. An all-black suede upper gets sleek pops of ivory on the signature PUMA Formstrip on the profiles, plush sockliner, and a revamped sole.
For a true dose of nostalgia (typically PLEASURES), the collaboration throws in a thicker tongue and premium woven fat laces. Branding stays low-key, with the PLEASURES name subtly gracing the tongue tag and insoles. Each pair comes ready to rock with alternate black laces, plus an extra set in white for a personalized touch.
The pair will have two release windows: The first will take place on PLEASURES on 4 January with a wider release taking place on the 6th. Find them then and there with an RRP of US$120. Till D-Day comes, enjoy a look at the campaign images in the gallery above!
