Streetwear legends A BATHING APE and luxury boutique MCM Worldwide are set to work together again once more, following their highly successful first collaboration back in 2019.

Teased on BAPE’s Instagram recently, the announcement teaser features the iconic BAPE logo and graphic motif, surrounded by MCM’s iconic shade of brown. Another key detail is the appearance of a gilded dragon which envelops the ape logo, perhaps hinting that the collaboration will be Lunar New Year themed—given that the forthcoming zodiac year is the Year of the Dragon.

While not much else has been announced, @flipping_bape has offered an early preview of what’s to come. Through the user’s leaks, we’re able to ascertain that a myriad of bags will be launching, from MCM’s signature Stark Backpack to their Weekender bag.

All of them come with the same dragon-enfolded BAPE logo, together with MCM’s hallmark Visetos monogram. On the apparels front, only a hoodie has been shown thus far, offered in brown and black similar to the bags mentioned above.

Take an early first look at the upcoming MCM x BAPE collaboration. While an exact date has not yet been announced, do expect more details and an eventual drop date in the coming weeks.
