[Update 25 Jan 2024] Originally teased as a sample, it’s now been confirmed that the Wales Bonner x adidas Samba “Python” will get a release sometime in the fall this year. To tide us through the wait, new images have also surfaced. Check them out in the gallery above!

The Wales Bonner x adidas is burgeoning to be one of the industry’s most fascinating partnerships. Since 2020, their releases have consistently been among the year’s best, and they’re largely responsible for reigniting the love for the classic adidas Samba.

Now, on the heels of their successful Fall/Winter 2023 collection, a “Python” colorway have started slithering around the internet. Leaked images showcase a shoe draped in a luxurious snake-inspired print, with brown, tan, and black scales swirling across its upper. Tonal Three Stripes snake subtly down the side, blending seamlessly with the reptilian texture.

Wales Bonner’s signature details remain on full display, with the oversized tongue flap and co-branded tags. Cream laces, bronze eyelets, and a pop of green satin in the lining tie the look together, resting on a sturdy brown rubber sole.

While these “Python” pairs are currently just samples, we’re all hoping for a wider release. You can bet you’ll know about it here if (and when) they slither onto the shelves.
